Great little Thai restaurant at Maroubra Beach. Excellent tasting food and attentive service even when busy! I had the most delicious Chicken Laksa I have ever had. It had plenty of chicken instead of the usual surplus of veggies, and having to search for the chicken pieces! The soup itself was nice and spicy but not congealed like so many Thai Laksas. They have lunch specials. The atmosphere, is dark and cosy, and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back.
Sorry but hygiene is really poor. I went to use the toilet in the alleyway beside the restaurant and I was shocked. There is the smell of rotting food, grease and garbage everywhere. People need to know this is a health hazard, the kitchen opens on to the alleyway as you can see from the photos
Sad to say it but this place has gone from good to ok to pretty damn awful…. We ate in recently and the food was below definitely average. Several prawn dishes, in all of which the Prawns we’re all still half frozen/ barely cooked at all. Betal leaf entrees were so disappointing- raw prawns, and heaps of fried garlic, then just drowned in honey. The sauces all tasted too salty or too sweet… it’s like they were made by some with absolutely no tastebuds Thinking we may have been unlucky, we gave it another chance a few nights later; we ordered a curry and stir fry thai child basil chicken…. the stir fry was inedible! Since they opened a few years ago, this place has definitely gone down hill. I am the be going back again.
Pretty average Thai food. Had takeaway green curry, veggies, pad see ew and rice. Best part was veggies. Noodles were burnt and green curry had no flavour.
I’m absolutely speechless. This place serves the worst curries I have ever tasted in my life. Thai Red Curry, hot. This was some sort of a coconut milk soup with some added chilli. Impossible to taste the red curry flavours. The vegetables weren’t cooked in the curry but steam (and way undercooked) and then added to the dish. The size of the vegetables was ridiculous as well.. would have to chop it into four pieces to fit in the mouth. The chicken was also separately poached and then added. Massaman beef curry, medium. The taste of this was utterly strange and didn’t even look or taste like any massaman I had ever seen. Beef, potatoes and cashew nuts was the curry. I’m not sure how people can actually want to eat there, all I know is I won’t ever be going back.
It’s good…its really good ! . Had the Thai Beef Salad for lunch the other day….really good version…nice tangy dressing and good flavour on the steak. Returned tonight and had the salad again and fried rice and one of the deep fried pork chef specials . It was all good but the pork was amazing…the best Thai pork dish I’ve ever had….crispy on the outside and lovely n soft on the inside.
Ordered home delivery, they have very good selection of unique Thai entree options. I ordered prawn tarot spring rolls and prawn betel leaf. They both tasted pretty good especially liked the prawn and peanut betel leaf – it was crunch and tasty and arrived in individual serving dish which kept the leaves fresh and fillings intact. Papaya salad was fresh and spicy just the way I requested. We also ordered pad Thai and pad siew chickens. All in all nice authentic Thai restaurant!Update: 20.12.2015Ordered pad thai chicken, seafood salad and tofu salad. LOVED the both salads! It was warm and salad was refreshing with lots of mint and dressing was salty just the right amount. I enjoyed every little bit of both tofu and seafood salad.
