OK service but the food is terrible. Been a few times only because it was convient and we use to enjoy coming here but over the last three years it’s been a food is always burnt, really late, ordered a fresh juice and you could tell it was from Coles bottle, portion size is ridic and nothing is fresh. Its unfortunate as the coffee club in macarthur sqaure is 100 times better.
A pleasant place can kill time in Maroubra, cozy environment, served nice coffee with a beautiful latte art and with free wifi, the staff are nice and patient.
This is a pleasant venue in a heart of Maroubra Junction in a very convenient location, most of the time the service is ok, occasionally a bit slow though. Food is a bit pricey though.
I went here as I was heading to the gym and wanted some toast and coffee. I always get coffee club at Randwick and love it, so presumed It would be the same. I ordered an espresso which was fine and toast. They gave me toast and butter. However the toast tasted like it had been buttered already and reheated. It also had a scrap of salmon on it. So, either it was reheated or they don’t keep their kitchen real clean……. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
I knew the food at the Coffee Club was bad (which is why I never go there) but this was ridiculous… Unfortunately it was the only quiet place I could take my grandma for a sandwich. Service was bad, sandwiches were near inedible – it was expensive and rubbish. Leave the shopping precinct for lunch.
I had dinner recently and went with the Chilli Prawn and Chorizo Linguine. I must say the portion was a bit small and I was through it in no time, it did taste good and was well prepared. The coffee was also pleasing. The prices here are on the high side given the meal portions and the coffee would have to be outstanding to justify the meal prices but I’ve found the coffees just to be good and not exceptional. The interior is spacious and set up nicely with service being quite solid.
My husband and I went to the coffee club last night to have dinner. We both had the pulled pork roll and chips and a glass of red. The place was deserted around 6ish which it usually is quite busy. When the burgers arrived one at first I’m guessing they thought we ordered only the one. The pork was like dog food between a disgusting roll and a handful of uncooked chips. The best was the red wine. For $45.90 that was a rip I could of got a better meal at Maccs with better presentation. The place is under new management. Don’t waste your money going to Maroubra Coffee Club. Poor service. Poor food.
