Funky little cafe full of hipsters, hippies and locals. I was hoping for some amazing food given the interesting fusion menu. But honestly I found it to be interesting and pretty, but lacking substance. Im a big fan of knowing where my food is from (you can take the girl out of Adelaide…) and this hip place was far too posey for me. I dont care about being cool, which I feel is more important here, I would prefer to see carefully chosen ingredients over quirky crafted decor. Each to their own.

I used to love this caf but it’s recently changed. I called to make a booking for a group of 15 people for brunch, and you’d swear I asked to set the place on fire, but they agreed as long as everyone ate and didn’t just have coffee. Fair enough. We showed up and a table had been set for only 10 people so I had to wait until the table next to us left and pull up more chairs. People had to stand until then. The menu choice had shrunk and the service was slow. No more table service, you had to order and pay at the counter which meant all 15 of us had to line up! The only saving grace was that as always the food was delicious. No longer my local fav sadly.

Pretty funky inside. Creative and innovative. Cute menus. Good coffee. There were cute little chickens and a dog when I went to use the toilet. That was pretty fun! Hard to find, but you should visit!

This is my favourite local cafe in Maroubra – great coffee, lovely service, staff and ambiance. The BLAT is to die for, hoping they re-open for dinner in the summer!

Funky spot… food hit n miss. …wish the coffee was better. It’s ok. Burgers are great. Didn’t like the lamb shoulder dish. Good music. Friendly service.
