Quite a lovely local corner of Marrickville, and right next to the station. Highly recommend you to choose a different time to visit other than Sunday morning since it is so popular that you will have to wait a bit to get seated.
This little cafe has a better location in Annandale as this one is on the corner of a main road..But the food was very nice, i tried the corn pita qith chickpeas and pickled zuchinni.It was actuallt very delicious and probably not on the menu anymore Will have to return to try their breakfast options!! lalaneats.wordpress.com
I enjoy visiting this place as they have good coffee, healthy meals and produce their own relishes and pickles. I always order the same thing, this time was no exception. I got the ploughmans plate with cheese, bread, relish, apple, ham, fennel and radish. I really enjoyed it. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
An interest menu, good coffee and friendly staff, that is what is needed for a great cafe experience and this place ticks all of the boxes. My favourite dish here is the vegan surprise which is made up of a tasty selection of dips, pickled veg and a fresh salad that’s always topped with an irresistible dressing. Most of the veg here is locally sourced and due to availability you never quite know what you are going to get when ordering the vegan surprise but one thing is for sure, your in for a tasty and wholesome meal every time.
I have been going to this cafe since 2010, and it has delivered consist quality healthy local produce and chutney. I like the rusty and authentic ambient, and they have unique taste. This morning the poached eggs are slightly over cooked and the kiwi fruits look like they are cut yesterday.
Ok food but not great. Very small cafe, could be crowded. A lot young people there but not for old fashioned me. Might try again during the week.
I LOVE Cornersmith. Whether here or Annnadale, the food is fresh, delicious and creative. The coffee’s fantastic (in fact you can buy fantastic Mecca coffee beans from them at a great price). Pickles are to die for. The staff must be selected for generosity of spirit – they are all so patient, & so willing to serve the customer – nothing is too much trouble. The cookbook is wonderful and gives one insight into the beautiful community that Cornersmith has built around them.
