We found Gia Dinh restaurant along Illawarra Rd in Marrickville by accident, but oh what a find! Traditional Vietnamese food plus great customer service. Very homely restaurant. We ordered the ff Prawns in crispy pastry (Tom Sot Cam) served with orange dipping, Crispy Bahn Xeo with savoury fillings, Traditional minced beef with herbs and spices rolled in wild betel leaves and traditional braised pork with eggs, my gawd they were sooo good lah!
My mate and I stumbled across this place an decided to spontaneously try it (which is not like me at all. It’s very low key and easy to miss. I had the Bn tht nng (BBQ Pork Vermicelli Salad) $14 and my mate had Bnh cun (Steamed rice rolls filled with pork mince, served with pork loaf and salad) $13. Served with pandan tea which complimented the meal nicely! The service was good. Great ambulance. Pretty good value.
