The highlight of my experience here was the egg tart. The buttery pastry crumbled in my mouth, it was amazing. The rest of the dishes – such as the siew mai, pork baos, other dumplings – were alright, pretty standard. Not a fan of the fried noodles, they were disappointingly bland. We ended the meal with mango crepes/pancake, super yum.Not sure if wed come back without the yumcha Groupon set. Maybe just for the selected few desserts that I enjoyed.Since we were on a set deal for 4, the servers took out all the food almost immediately when I arrived there even when I asked if they could slow down – it didnt help with the taste when they started to get cold. That affected the experience a little too.
Walked past this place a lot and finally went to try it with the family for yum cha. The food was delicious and the wait staff were nice and friendly. Whenever you want something that wasn’t coming around you just had to ask. They had all the usual yum cha dim sum. I really liked the custard tarts, the pork and prawn in beancurd. I found the sticky rice in the lotus leaves a bit dry and not that sticky and the tofu in ginger syrup not warm enough for me.
DELICIOUS CHINESE FOOD! Hung cheung is a typical chinese seafood/yumcha eatery and i really recommend it as the seafood delicacies are prepared very fresh & are cooked extremely authentically with perfect flavours!
