They use good ingredients and put effort into the cooking – san choy bao had perfectly fried pork and veges, the chicken was perfectly tender, the sweet and sour pork was served as deep fried balls with a separate sauce. However, despite a few good flavours, it’s very very light Chinese, much like Hong Kong cuisine, and there was no trace of Vietnamese flavour or spice. If you like it light, this is some of the best Chinese around though. Servings are big and sharing dishes can get you a good meal for under $15 each.
