Nice, well located venue with great atmosphere from decor and spacious layout, suitable for kids and large groups as well. But we always wondered why it was mostly empty – the food. We ordered a range of things here but most dishes were really poor. Deep fried Camembert came out with huge pieces of red cabbage and thick sour dough .. just not the way to serve an entree like this.. clumsy to eat and bad combination of flavours. A salad called Juan in a Million was just a very stodgy bowl of rice with half an avocado sitting in top and the corn chips from the bottom of a bag, not anything like the word salad – its rare to find something inedible but we simply couldnt eat this. Service was quick and friendly, prices steep given the quality. Good place for a drink but I wouldnt eat there again.
Regular pub meals changed a little. Today we had the panko crumbed chicken schnitzel which came with the regular chips but also included a pina colada slaw which was interesting. I like pineapple but for some reason with coconut it gets tiring fast
Came here after an intense run. Was starving, but the food is not something I’d normally enjoy otherwise! Ordered the chicken thigh burger with jerk flavouring and the steak. We ordered medium rare steak, but it came out medium. And the fries were not freshly cooked. Quite expensive too, not worth it for the quality.
Caught up with a mate on a Tue Arvo but have been here before on a Fri night too.Nice spacious set up. Food was great. Burger with loaded chips really hit the spot! Beer is bit dear my only complaint
Grab drinks and burgers here nicely locationed close to lazy bones and get to watch footy here. The layout is pretty kool nice place to hang and drink with mates on a lazy weekend
Popped in after we went looking for somewhere to have dinner. Bistro area is to the front, order and pay at the counter and food is served to you. Menu is your standard pub grub items with vegetarian options and some interesting starters on offer as well. We had garlic damper bread to start which was terrible. Hardly any garlic butter in the huge loaf of bread that was extremely tough and dry on the outside. Bf had the BBC burger which wasn’t bad: bacon beef and cheese burger w/fries. My chicken schnitzel was great though, with the perfect crunch. Prices are pretty reasonable, with a relaxed atmosphere. Family friendly as well, so I’d return for dinner and some drinks, but I’d avoid the damper.
More than your usual pub grub with a decent wine list. GF and vego options and a pretty accommodating kitchen. Large eating area to the front, but quieter spaces to the back. Wish they would get rid of their wide screen tvs!
