Stumbled across this place in desperate times and it came through with the goods. I highly recommend the karaage chicken burger for a great hangover cure!
Hip space with fun vibe and very busy, clearly has a loyal client following. Service a tad variable – some staff are great, know there shit and and just lovely. Others seem a bit new and unsure – so depends on who you get. Coffee was smooth but a tad on the weak side for me. Menu is one of the more creative around with a big influence from southern USA, lots of fried chicken on the breakfast menu. The kimchi waffle with fried chicken was the standout dish for me, chicken and waffle was delicious and the spicy mayo had a great kick that made the whole dish pop. The chicken is super well done, so tasty and chunky real Chicken that somehow manages to taste healthy – could not detect much oil despite the fact that its clearly fried. The Karrage Burger which my friend had raved about was disappointing. There was just so much salad and salad dressing in it that it quickly turned into a bit of a soggy mess. I think less would be more here.
