They must think that their reputation from 20 years ago allows them to charge $12 for low-quality ingredients inferior to most sub-$10 yeeros/kebab shops. At least they’re open pretty late but unless you’re in the area, it’s a poor choice.
Meaty yeerosVictoria Yeeros is a yeeros shop located in Marrickville with ample seating available inside. They also serve BBQ chicken, souvlaki, and a variety of hot food. Pram friendly and can sit large groups.We happened to be in the area and my husband felt like a yeeros, his go to place. We dined inside and ordered and paid at the cashier.We ordered a beef yeeros with tabouli, lamb souvlaki, and a side of chips.It didn’t take long for the food to arrive. The beef yeeros was a generous serving of beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, and tabouli on a pita bread. It was yummy. The meat was seasoned well. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful. The pita bread was slightly crispy and soft.The souvlaki did not look appetising. It had small uneven pieces of lamb on a skewer stick layed on a bed of lettuce. It was tough, very hard to eat, and I did not like the flavours.The chips were okay. I preferred them cooked longer as they weren’t crispy. I probably would have eaten a lot more if they had yummy chicken salt.Staff seemed friendly.Verdict: If you like your yeeros meaty, definitely worth a try.
