If you can actually find this spot, hidden between a few nondescript shopfronts, you’ll get great coffee & friendly service – exactly what I look for in a local cafe 🙂
Another hidden gem away from the Mascot ‘station strip’, these guys do great coffee and quick options for breakfast and lunch. They have some great options for takeaway (think toasted sandwiches, paninis, pizza, and a few salads). Morning rush hour can get a little crazy but these guys have routine down and pump out everything quite quickly. A lovely bunch of people with the right warmth and energy you need in the mornings! crumbs-au.com
Charming little spot along Coward Street. When I walk in on my way to work there are some delicious looking pastries and a few breakfast items in the cabinet but at 9:00am I think there should be more on offer, sometimes there is, sometimes there isn’t a selection of sandwiches which you can pick up on the way to work.As for the coffee, I agree the coffee is good, creamy, a good size. But my problem is that on more than one occasion I have ordered and seen the lady at the register serve people after me and move their coffee order before mine so they can get their coffee first. Obviously regulars who work in the nearby offices but it’s important to be fair and keep all customers happy. The first time I saw this it was very obvious as two different lots of customers (about 4 coffees) made it out before mine, and I know this cafe is not like The Renegades down the road where you can pre-order coffee online or via a phone app, besides the fact I have seen her recieve their order, write it on the cup lid and push it infront of my order with my own eyes.Very short sighted way to keep some customers happy. Once, ok, but twice? Makes me think it happens often and I won’t be going back.
Great food in this pizza/restaurant/cafe. I have been at Deli Shop many times and always been very happy with the food, the best way is to have it inside, the service at the table does not have any surcharge for lunch, otherwise you can take away. The best for me are are the pasta dishes (I loved lasagna and cannelloni) and the soups.They have a beautiful and relaxing environment, both inside and in the cozy courtyard, staff is always friendly and the coffee is great!
