Being the only cafe in International arrival terminal I guess this cafe can charge whatever and maintain such a low standard. Ordered Sourdough toast with avocado to go, after opening the bag I look down and this is brown wholemeal bread the basic square kind you buy at Woolies ! Sourdough – I am not that confident it was. Plus a very stingy serving of avocado for $5. Extremely disappointing and a MASSIVE rip off. Plus when ordering staff were rude, even to the customers in front of me. Will never go back here – Sydney airport I think you need to review this tenant.
I entered from outside and it wasn’t clear that I was supposed to order at the counter. Wait staff didn’t welcome me or invite me to sit down, even though I was carrying all my luggage and obviously looking for service. When I got to the front of the line, someone else was served before me. The person taking the order didn’t acknowledge me or explain why they were served before me. The prices written on the cups next to the till do not match the prices on the menu. I was charged to use EFTPOS which is pretty stupid in 2017 at an airport where people have just arrived from another country.
Very bad service and attitude!! The staff throw my receipt into rubbish bin instead of give it to me! How can I know my number to get the food? He scold me as the food is ready but I didnt take it. But I dont even know my order number how could I simply take others food?
What do u do when u have to be at the airport by 6 am? Well unless one can be bothered to warm up the coffee machine at home prior to leaving, one gets his fix at the earliest opportunity. Bleary eyed, i picked a shop with the shortest Q n got meself a triple shot macchiato for takeaway. Coffee itself was a little more bitter n acidic than i would have liked but it did its job just fine.
If I could give 0 for service I would. 4 staff behind the counter all extremely highly strung being rude and abrasive to every customer. Young girl on the register trying to smile but owner an older gentleman is driving everyone in chaos. Coffee was ok pumpkin fritters was yuk……. Lost for words how people in a service industry behave the way these guys do. I had organised to meet someone at the Caf so I was stuck for location.
This review is actually for the cafe located in the arrivals area of Sydney International Airport. It was the first place to get a coffee after passing through customs and although nowhere near the best coffee I’ve had, it served its purpose.
Delicious Chai latte but i asked for something on the menu (wedges with sour cream and chilli) and was told they don’t know if they have any and they had to check the freezer, then when she did bring them out there was no sour cream and she didn’t mention it, just walked away. When I asked she said ‘oh we don’t have any’. Could have at least asked if I’d like something else because they were out of one of the best parts of a wedges sour cream and sweet chilli dish. The wedges were undercooked too….. very uninterested staff, clearly no passion, I almost felt like a burden just by being there.
