Sometimes, you wonder if new businesses are set up as a joke or they really have no idea. I cant decide which Meadowbay F&Cs is. Im drinking a peppermint tea as I type, to settle my upset stomach. $29- got us 2 X battered pieces of snapper, 4 potato scallops and a serve of chips. To say this was greasy is an understatement. To add insult to injury, the potato for the scallops were sliced so thinly it actually disintegrated in places under the batter absorbing even more oil. The chips were OK, the fish had been sitting in the display a while and had dried out considerably. If the owner is banking on location (between the TAFE and the railway station) he might last 6 to 12 months. But if this was off the beaten track, it would close in 3. This is not a place I would revisit nor recommend. The picture of the F&C’s is not from here, they sell hand cut chips which are irregular shapes. Awful.
