Been visiting Sheperds Bay Cake and Bakery for many years and they’ve consistently delivered tasty Banh Mi all this time. Their Banh Mi are usually stuffed with goodies – a meat of your choice (pork, chicken or lemongrass beef), loads of pickled carrot, lettuce, coriander, shallot, pate, mayonnaise, soy sauce and fish sauce. Depending on the meat you order you’re paying between $4.50 to $5.50 for a lunch that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. They also sell a variety of French style crusty breads you can take home. Banh Mi is GOOD value.
Bread is freshly baked daily $5 pork rolls that they fill up quite a bit, tastes good, not the best I have had Overall, the joint is cost effective and offer various cakes too
They use old expired chicken, I have gotten sick 3 times in a period of 6 months, its a hit and miss with this place, its a shame its good tasting but poor quality. Never again.
Local bakery that has all the trimmings. Located opposite Supa IGA in the Village Plaza in Meadowbank. Has freshly baked rolls, sliced bread, sweets such as tarts, brownies, slices, cakes you name it! They also serve freshly made pork, chicken or salad rolls! Very tasty and around $5 or under it’s definitely a bargain! Bon Appetit!
Nice pork roll, good value. The pork rolls here are nice and big and the meat for the pork roll consists of bbq pork and some bits of bbq pork fat. the rolls are considerably better in the morning when they are freshly baked. Otherwise, later during the day, your jaw might get a good work out from the chewy bun. overall, great tasting pork and chicken roll at $5 a roll.
Much worse than before, I assume ownership has changed or the new staffs don’t care as much as before.
$4 pork roll. This must be one of the best pork rolls that I’ve ever had. Creamy texture from the mayo and chicken heart sauce, crunchy from the fried shallots, and meaty because of their generous pork servings. They put heaps of chili and it was too much for my liking so I usually ask for just a little bit of chili in the roll
