Newcastle InstitutionThis is home style Italian cooking and country hospitality at its best. I was initially a little put off because I don’t like to see food in bain-maries, but the food was terrific. My husband and I tried the veal saltimbocca and a couple of pastas – parmigiana (tomato eggplant) and vodka chilli. The food was tasty, the portions were generous and the service was friendly.
The pasta is really outstanding and range of choice awesome. I’ve been going here for nearly my whole life (as did my grandma and mother). The service is fabulous and friendly. The restaurant is run by the most delightful family who have kept the business through the generations. I can’t wait to go back when next in Newcastle
