Thinking about it? Think again, look around and if you really can’t come up with a better idea then fair enough.. head on down, but know you’re surrendering yourself to very, very, mid center of the flavor scale, very ordinary food.I mean I really don’t quite know what to say, it’s not dreadful but it’s not that great. It’s the type of place that if you need to take someone out for dinner and want to make it look like you’ve put in effort (but totally forgot the occasion and booked last minute and don’t want to spend a lot) then fine, that’ll do the trick. If you want genuinely tasty food that’s price competitive and leaves you feeling good, don’t come here. The linguini al chef for example is bland, quality of seafood not bad enough to say bad things and a dish that was missing brightness.Actually that’s the perfect way to describe this place… the clientele are local retirees looking for a quiet place to go that’s been there since they could remember, this mean it lacks any daring or character and is completely void of brightness in every way possible.Unless you’re transitioning to retirement, my suggestion is – you can do better, choose another place to eat.

Very disappointed- the service that we started with was not the service we finished with. We did NOT order an entree and when an entree was brought to the table we said No we had not ordered this, but if it was going to be thrown out it would be a waste. $18 for three 3 mushrooms??? The bill came and the entree was billed to us. I have been in the service industry and THIS restaurant was FULL – very disappointed as I thought the client was always right, WE will NOT be going back, the wine was nice the service when we arrived was lovely. But our waiter as nice as he seemed DID NOT listen to our order and we paid for it, & so did HE as there was NO tip left, the restaurant was the only winner here, maybe HE OWNED IT???

Nice set up and really good place to come with a group of people. I came here with work so can’t comment on the price. Food was nice, big servings which helps when your hungry. Waiters were friendly too.

Fantastic Italian!. Have been going to Amici Di Toni for many years. It’s close to work and quite possibly one of the best Italian restaurants on the North Shore. Outstanding service, and even on my visit just today with a mate, we noted that we’ve never been served a poor meal. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Specials are always excellent and the selected produce (whether it be meat, vegetables or seafood) is consistently good. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Best Italian on the Northern Beaches. This restaurant is the best restaurant I’ve been to and I’ve tried a lot! The food is always amazing and the service is just as good. Their risotto is to die for. I would highly recommend Amici di Toni to anyone.

Had prawns with ricotta followed by a pepper steak. Food was excellent but with a rather peppery price tag . If someone likes it noisy , this would be your thing. The place could do with a better ambient . It’s more like a Indian palace feeding market . Waiter inclusive. No background , just noise from tables 10 m away. Kitchen is exquisite . Fast waiting and good service even next to the rest room. Too many tables clutter like. No room to move. Thought better of the place. $ 126 for an hours worth

Reid. I have been attending regularly since 1997 & the continued success illustrates how a good formula can lead to survival. The culture of genuine friendliness, excellent service, superb food, reasonable pricing, in a large but happy room, is as good as any restaurant of this genre that I have known. It has all remained constant over all those years. I sympathise with those who are too unfit to climb the steep stairs to enjoy themselves at this otherwise perfect establishment – that is its only drawback.
