I am sure I have reviewed this place before and it was positive but today and the couple of times I am beyond annoyed and frustrated. You would think You would get at least 3-5 pieces of meat in the curries. Today I saw my option for meat curry was very stingy. So I asked for another option for meat AND the horrible worker puts all sauce and ONE freaking meat AHH I am so angry. As the worker did the same thing for my husband. I think I will need to ask HOW MANY pieces of meats are going to be given before buying. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Run by a couple, this is a pit stop when i am in mortdale. While i havent tasted all their curries, they have a made to order lamb cutlet curry which is wonderfully delicious. The curry paste is on point – creamy, rich and spicy. Their naan breads are always fresh and they make a cheese version which when you have it hot, it’s stringy and gooey (almost like a stuffed pizza crust). Two of my favourite items are the tandoori wrap and vegetable samosa. While the science behind the wrap is pretty basic, their vegetable samosa is the best i had in sydney. It’s huge, has ample filling and most importantly the pastry shell tastes equally good. It’s fried to the point where the crust is crispy but yet soft. I bring heaps and freeze it with the intention of having a snack at home but then i end up finishing all of them in 3 days max.
Came for takeaway the other night and it was super packed. Butter chicken seems to be the fave dish here and I agree with below review that it is a little ‘aussified’, but it’s still tasty nonetheless. Also had the rogan josh which was yummy. Naans are fresh and tasty at a good size. Meat samosas are also quite big but nothing to write home about.Service is quick and friendly, and prices are quite cheap.
Standard local aussiefied Indian food. Food isn’t bad. Their chicken wrap is an interesting idea. It’s by no means traditional but its tasty. The butter chicken is fluro but still good. Always busy which is a good sign.
The lamb and spinach dish was very disappointing-lamb was very chewy!!naan bread was fresh at least.fairly priced and good and friendly service.
