Best steakhouse restaurant in Sydney! We’ve been here for a couple of times now but never get a chance to take photo of the food coz we’re so hungry and couldn’t wait to dig in. My husband’s favourite is the fillet mignon. We love the mushroom sauce and the beef is so tender and really melts in your mouth. He likes to add some prawns as well as to make it surf and turf dish. The sauce for the prawns is different yet creamy and tasty as well. I ordered Duck l’ range confit duck leg served on butternut roast pumpkin, french beans and spiced orange jus. This is my fave! Really soft and tasty duck, really to die for! Love the orange jus as well. Previously we had seafood paella and their mouthwatering desserts. Really good too. We are so lucky that we live near this steakhouse that we can just come in whenever we feel like indulging on some good quality food.

First & foremost this place was one of 3 places not on Yelp … i couldn’t beleive it!! The expensive hardware store or the vet next door was in Yelp before this place hahah obviously peoples mind set isn’t in the right place lolThis steak house is tucked away in an almost one way back street of Mortdale :)! Its close to the pub which only locals stick too & is also really close to the well known Mortdale Bike shed. People probably not aware of this place cause its only open from 12pm on fridays & Saturdays and every other day is open fron 5pm.As soon as you walk into the restaurant you notice all the old school Fire station memorabilia hung up all over the walls :)!! So the the name Fire house Grill is the perfect name for this place :).Was here at the restaurant for a mother’s day dinner with the family to beat the hustle & bustle rush of the real mothers day tomorrow :)!!We ordered a mixed entre with, ribs off the bone, tasty pork belly with a creamy slaw topping, king prawns with a crumbed cheese coating, haloumi cheese, salad with 2 dipping sauces (garlic & tzatziki). For dinner majority had fillet mignone with chips salad and dipping sauce of your choice, i had a oven roasted duck with a tasty salad and mum had the braised beef cheek which tasted a bit over cooked and dry byt all the other maibs were very nice :)!!For dessert 2 people had the mango creme Brule which was outstanding, my sister had a perfection sticky date pudding which is never served big enough to satisfy your needs lol & i had a freesh fruit & Cheese platter with a peppermint tea.. the perfect tasty end to a nice dinner night out with the family :)!!Really enjoyed dining at this place.. been here about 4 times now and would recommend it to anyone i know .. and must mention again that while waiting for your food to come out and if you weren’t conversing it was really nice to stare around the restaurant & study all the fire house memorabilia they had to offer 🙂

Don’t bother. Twice we’ve booked a table at this place and twice we’ve turned up on time to find there is no table for us. The food is probably good or maybe it’s terrible, unfortunately we haven’t been given the chance to try it.

The food here is excellent!! Fresh tasty and full of flavour!! Its a bit cramped, and a bit expensive but the food is worth the price. The only problem is it took over 40mins for our food to arrive but that was understandable because it was a full house. If you wanna try this place i reccommend making a booking as it is very popular

I have been to most steak houses and great restaurants in Sydney and I must say this place has the best steak ever! Recently went to black by ezard again nothing wow but fire house grill always gets it right! Simple yet perfectly tasty steaks. The Chef here knows what his doing and I’m happy to pay for quality! Keep up the great work!

Waitresses were very attentive, polite and positive. The Chef was cheerfully visible at times and the setting was clean and tidy. The rump steak was well cooked and flavourful. For the cut, the quality was still there. The chips were crispy and seasoned and the discounted special was appreciated. I had the seafood paella special. Arriving in a sizzling ceramic pot, there were plentiful servings of mussels, prawns, scallops and fish. The sauce was rich and seasoned but light enough to achieve a well balanced, traditional flavour. Packed pull of herbs the rice was cooked perfectly, without a mushy texture. The seafood, though, was the highlight. Falling from the shell, the prawns were juicy and the scallops were buttery soft. Tender seafood, perfectly cooked rice and a rich, powerful sauce tied the dish up as a highlight. Of course, being the dessert craving snob, I quickly ordered the mango, vanilla bean creme brle i had been waiting for. It was creamy, perfectly textured and accompanied by crispy almond biscotti. The sweetness was just right and the specks of vanilla bean that riddled the creme gave a richness. There were fresh, juicy mango pieces under the silky creme and it was all topped off by a caramelised crust that was perfectly thin and crunchy. An awesome meal, service and experience. HIGHLY recommend for the price. 🙂
