Delicious food and fantastic service. I always feel so special when I eat here. It’s definitely our favourite local in Mosman.

I love this restaurant! Been coming here for years, the food is authentic and service is sensational. It really feels like a family restaurant. Will always come back here!

if you are looking for a place where you can have a great dinner and a good conversation with your friends and family, this is the place. Food is fresh and tasty with generous portions. We had a tandoori mushrooms, biryani rice, tandoori platter, dhal and palak paneer. Highly recommend.

This is our favourite restaurant. Home style Indian cooking that reminds us of the curry houses in UK but better. It brings memories of my fiance’s curry night with his rowing crew in Cambridge and reminds me of the food my Indian housekeeper cook when I was growing up. We will opt for this restaurant than any other 3 hats or Michelin star restaurant anytime, any day.

A forgotten gem. This one really is a forgotten gem and well worth a visit if you haven’t been lately.Like many reviewers of Indian restaurants, I am English and am always searching for a decent curry that can hold a candle to the ones I grew up with. I’ve lived in Australia for many years and often find the curries bland, gravy like and rarely hot enough. I sympathise with the poor restaurant owners who try to pamper to local tastes by serving up mild, sweet, creamy butter chicken and loose sight of what makes Indian food so enjoyable.Anyway back to the Taste of India, I have eaten here many times over the years but not for a while and was amazed at how good the food was last night. The Naan (always a good weather vane for the quality of an Indian Restaurant) was soft and fluffy, and the Roti was great. For mains, we had a Chicken Jalfrezi, a Lamb Dhansak and some Dhal which were all very fresh and tasty. The service was very good, attentive and personal but we were late and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The owner is a lovely lady and it’s great to talk to her about the food and origins of the dishes. Her menu is made up of authentic dishes form the Bombay (Mumbai) area she grew up in. The decor could do with a bit of an overhaul as it is a little dated and cold but the chairs are comfortable.I will definitely be going back…soon!

Great curries!. My fianc had dinner here (19Jan15). I had a vindaloo (hot!) and she had butter masala. Both tardy dishes and walked out of there quite full. After living in the the UK for five years, my fianc was dreading having a curry in Australia, but this restaurant has true authenticity. Delicious curries, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.
