Not familiar with the area (not a local) I searched for my mid-morning breakfast. My rule of thumb is lots of people must be good (an turn over of food should be fresh). So there was a good morning atmosphere about the place. It took a little time for the staff to get to me. Coffee was great. My slightly expensive breakfast ($23) of basic bacon and poached egg’s and cherry tomato’s was well presented, the bacon well cooked, the tomato was firm (flash fried I think) and tasty, but the egg’s stone cold. I told the staff who were immediately apologetic and said they would tell the chef. Meanwhile I had a lovely conversation with some locals surrounding their dog. The staff member asked if I wanted more eggs or something else but I had finished up by then and ready to be on my way. I went to pay and they gave me a 50percent off the price, which was good service and again very apologetic. I’m not writing them off, I will go there again and try the other menu’s for lunch and dinner as they looked quite inviting!
They were all out of the fruit frappes the weekend afternoon we visited so I had an iced chocolate instead. The chocolate powder hadn’t been mixed through properly so there were chunks of dry chocolate powder through the milk. A bit disappointing for $8. The friendly and attentive service cannot be faulted, and the atmosphere is elegant yet homely.
Simply beautiful. Atmosphere is quiet, elegant and classy. The set-up was beautiful and the service was quick and efficient. I ordered a beautiful ‘Roast Pumpkin Bruschetta’ and I have to say it looked incredible and tasted amazing. Generous serving, semi-resonable prices, but the atmosphere is just perfect. Will definitely return.
I love this place! Firstly, the atmosphere is so lovely. It’s like you’re in a little French house with large windows, white washed furniture and little plants at the table. Food is amazing. I’ve been here twice, first time I ordered the prawn salad and as you can see in the pictures it looks incredible. The mix of flavours was delicious and very fresh, loved it! Second time I ordered the avocado and tahini on sourdough, this was also really nice and fresh with simple flavours. I do really enjoy this place, it’s a little pricier than you’re average breakfast but well worth it.
