Beautiful heritage house on the super busy Military Road. What a nice oasis in the middle of chaos. However, the house is about the best thing of the afternoon (company excepted). Despite the nice surround, the food itself was a bit of a let down. The bread of the sandwich fingers were dried on one side, like they’ve been left out for a while. The filling wasn’t particularly exciting, I didn’t like the pickle one at all. The rest of the savouries were average. The sweets were a little better, I can’t tell you what they are, as the waiter that served us didn’t seem to know either. By far the best part of the high tea were the mini scorns, served warm, light, it was just the right size for the best ratio of cream & jam. We got a groupon deal for the High Tea, but I won’t be back even if the deal was available again.

A traditional english mansion set along the busy military road is the last place I would expect to find a tea room but the place offers perfect escape from the hustle and bustle outside its front gates. We ordered the classic high tea, which came with a selection of petit fours, finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. My favourites were the goats cheese and sundried tomato tarts and the salmon blinis. I wasn’t quite expecting pasta salad as a petit four though. Quite enjoyed the scones as it was quite soft and airy but perhaps not as crumbly as I would have liked. On the dessert end, the raspberry tart and chocolate mousse were also quite delightful. The rest of the items tasted average but overall the entire tray was quite delectable. Its a great place to bring a close one for afternoon tea or have an event such as a baby shower. Staff here are exceptionally accommodating. They took time to explain all the menu elements and carefully catered to all of our plentiful dietary requirements.

If you can get a discount voucher (as we did), this is a lovely high tea with some truly sublime scones on offer. The house and grounds are neat and the food is good – but neither spectacular enough to warrant the extra dollars involved.Had we paid full price, I am confident we would have been disappointed with the offering – however at the price we actually paid, we were pretty happy with what we got.

The Boronia House was a delightful location for a gift to my best friend. The service can be improved, but the food was lovely and the table-wear was adorable. Extra cream and jam was requested for the mini scones, and they did not disappoint. The variety of tastes provided mingled wondrously, and this accompanied with the beautiful setting made the experience much more delightful. If you’re looking for a sweet little gathering with delectable treats, then the Boronia House is the place for you.

The food is nothing sophisticated and very poor in variety (no cakes but many scones)The staff was servings us and cleaning the windows. The house itself beautiful perfectly to the idea of high tea but sadly just doesn’t deliver anything.

B O R O N I A T E A R O O MThis is such a random house in the middle of Mosman! They serve high tea inside this beautiful Manor. Unfortunately, true they high tea. Not very tasty and this is the first place where I had to pay extra for a re-fill of tea! Outrageous. @foodiesguidetosydney

Went for Sparkling High Tea. Location is lovely however service is terrible and the food doesn’t quite make up for it. Took a long time to be served, waited a further 10mins to get milk and sugar with our tea while all the waitstaff avoided catching my eye. Food is beautifully presented however lacking in flavour and finesse. Sandwiches were quite plain and petit fours weren’t very nice. Scones were dry, but the jam was delicious and extra jam and cream was provided upon request! An okay choice for High Tea, but was left feeling a little disappointed.
