WowSome seriously interesting and subtle flavours here. The Sashimi had the freshest ingredients I’ve ever tasted on a raw platter. Absolutely brilliant. Not too expensive either.Very polite and efficient service.
We live locally and couldn’t believe we haven’t tried this place before..until yesterday! Their buckwheat noodles (tempura soba) and curry udon were really nice. Very authentic. Great lunch set value. Nice service. Will be back soon!
Love it! Had a fantastic dinner here. Restaurant is small and cosy, dimly lit and although quite busy, it was still able to maintain a nice sense of privacy between each table. The kaiseki banquet seems to be very popular, with a mix of the $59pp and $43pp sets ordered around the tables. We ordered the $59pp set and chose to have the Mino and Goshu ones to compare the dishes. Food was nicely presented and each course got bigger and bigger, whetting our appetite after each one. The mixed entree plate and main course was very sufficient and tasty. Nothing to fault with each course. A small cup of green tea after our mains was a nice touch and unexpected. Choice of ice cream or sorbet with the dessert was lovely and the chocolate with the soybean powder was quite interesting.Service was friendly and polite. Only minor negative is the back walkway to the bathroom. It is made up of large stepping stones and pebbles but it was very dark, making it rather difficult to see where I was stepping. Overall a very nice place for dinner and I will happily return in the near future.
Best Japanese in Sydney. I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years, the quality hasn’t changed. Go for a degustation menu, it’s a lot of food but everything is so beautiful… The freshest sashimi and really interesting combinations. BYO any night of the week, a friendly and discreet service. It’s a great local, only thing the room gets a little noisy when it’s full. They could update the decor but with such gorgeous food, I’ll go back again and again.
