Great coffee. The coffee here is great, the barista/owner will make sure you get your coffee perfect. I was told there will be major changes in menu as well.
Sorry, this place has gone downhill since change of owners. We head over the road now – better coffee, food and atmosphere.02 May, 2012The best cafe on the north shore. Finally some great coffee! I am slowly working my way through the menu and can say it is all delicious. Only problem is it isn’t open on a sunday?!
Like it, love it!. I can only speak highly of this place. I think the sandwiches are tasty and authentically original. For me its the ideal place for my lunches, which are usually on the run + I reckon its some of the best coffee I know in Sydney. Being an on-the-road salesperson, I frequent cafes all throughout Sydney and this definately rates at the top of my list.I just wish there would be a few more around Sydney, as I reckon so many places have lost the art of making a tasty sandwich and coffee.
Lovely people. I agree the sandwiches are overpriced and my daughter didn’t find them too tasty, however the coffee is great and the owners are lovely! Great feel to the place and nice muffins and cakes.
<3 The Espresso Room. Have been a steady customer for months now. It's great to have a local caf with consistently great coffee. Whenever I've been in, they are always prompt and friendly. The food has been fantastic especially the scrambled eggs & salads. I also support the idea of using free range chicken and eggs, and so the homemade aioli and relishes are so yummy. They use Sonoma bread so frankly around $ 9 to $10 dollars for a sourdough sandwich is average.
Overpriced and no love of food. I have literally just purchased 2 items from what looks like a lovely menu. Disappointed. Sandwich – $10.50. No where near the Smoked salmon on rye was anything written on it being toasted. Why should i have to remember to tell them i don’t want it toasted? No question was asked to me.. the customer. I mean seriously who toasts smoked salmon anyway. Rye bread which looked liked it could have been a nice large slice when fresh was squashed to an inch of its life with WARM smoked salmon. Does this mean they don’t have faith in their products to serve beautiful fresh bread??!! That they have to toast it! The salad.. described as grilled halomi, beetroot, orange and baby spinach. Yep.. that’s what i got… and that’s all that was in there. Well the halomi was grilled well and there was sufficient in the salad. Clearly grilling is their forte! The orange was sliced to include all the pith, the hard centre and even seeds which i had to remove before breaking a tooth. It does not take any longer to segment the orange. No need to waste as the centre as it could be used for their fresh juices. Spinach was fine because its not hard to open a packet and pour but the beetroot. OMG.. not more than 2 weeks ago i bought fresh baby beetroot for $2.95 a bunch from Matelli’s in Cherry Brook. What this place serve was tinned.. TINNED beetroot…roasted beetroot would have given the salad style. This pathetic excuse for a salad also cost me $12.501) why open a cafe and serve lunch if you have no idea and no love of food. Stick to coffee and toasted cheese sandwiches.2) There are hardly any places in Cremorne to get a good, quick lunch. It wouldn’t take much to put care and effort into the food, use fresh ingredients and impress the locals!
