Amazing breakfast …. The staff were awesome and allowed me to have the Palio muesli with the farmer joes toppings . The coffee was amazing and I can certainly see why this place is so busy …. I will be back again soon X
A friend of mine who lives around this area mentioned that this cafe makes the best coffee in the north shore so naturally I had to try one. We ordered Cappuccino, flat white and a lemongrass tea. Coffee was made impeccably it looked amazing and it taste pretty good too but if you are fan of a strong coffee you will find this a little weak. Food tastes very fresh and prices are surprisingly cheap (I got zaatar toast for $10) but there’s no bacon I’m just warning you. This isn’t your traditional, fried salty cooked breakfasts – more fresh flavours like mint and yoghurt. The muffins here are meant to be very famous BUT they are only sold on Saturday!! Little bit devastated.—Came back a second time and had a very negative experience. we waited 45 minutes for a salad and when we asked to leave and just pay for our drinks she refused to let us leave and then when the food came she slammed them on the table and hit my friend as she walked away. we then still had to pay for our meals. Plus the place was basically empty. I was honestly shocked
Little Mosman Gem!. GREAT FOOD, GOOD SERVICE AND THE PERFECT COFFEE!I have been coming to The Penny Royal for years now and I must say it is one of my favourite little local haunts. The food is fantastic! A healthy and comforting menu, that is favoured for its unique take on your classic fav’s! The team are a great bunch and I have seen this place evolve over the years! Considering the tiny size of their kitchen (if you could call it that) and the expansion in the number of customers they can now house they do a very good job! Everything is still made fresh and tastes so good it’s worth a little wait whilst you relax with your coffee.Hospitality can be hard at the best of times, but I think this team handle the pressure really we’ll. A very popular place, for a very good reason!
Is this rude, arrogant attitude in a cafe commonplace or acceptable in Mosman?. Crowded, no newspapers, usually a wait for a table, made to feel that you cannot sit and have a chat with a friend and only order coffees, quickly nudged out if you are not ordering food. Rude, unfriendly staff. Shame because the coffee is good.

Great coffee and food. Had a wonderful Cappuccino and smoked salmon bruschetta at The Penny Royal today. Tiny venue but lovely if you can get a spot outside.
