Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst up in the northern side of Sydney and very glad I did. A funky space with friendly service, extensive menu and kids friendly also. All the food were delicious and presented well. The barramundi had a crispy skin, fried chicken had a crunchy flavoursome coating, steak beautifully cooked & salads substantial and well composed. The sangria was refreshing on a hot summers day and was a great drink to start the meal. Cocktails are also well made. I would love to try the ribs one day as it looks and smells delicious!
Food is good. However, owners have NO understanding of social gatherings involving food! I have attempted to go there 5 times in the last 6 months and each time this greedy restaurant gives a time limit for your stay. None of my friends and family wish to be timed while they eat dinner. You get 1.5hrs from the time you sit down to the time you leave. Disgraceful to think restaurants can get away with this.
Very impressive, we came here for a meal while in the area. Just across from the beach , food and service were great. A great local to try on the northern beaches.
Excellent service – lots of staff, all very attentive & friendly. Shout out to Mitch who served us – thorough and courteous. American-anchored food, extremely tasty and fresh. White sangria went down well on the warm night we went, could have easily had a few more jugs. Husband had the prawn linguine which was sublime. Will be going back and ordering this myself!
Took my other half here for his birthday as word on the Northern Beaches was that it was the place to eat a good serving of southern style food and enjoy some ambiance. Now apart from the two really rude children sitting next to us we were really pleased with our meals. My partner had the full rack with slaw and although a big eater had plenty to spare. We had the baked Camembert for a starter and olives they were also great. My main was the kangaroo and it had a real rich taste to it. The only gripe I had was that I tried to organise a cake or dessert for my partner as a surprise I got in contact and left a message with the restaurant to ask if anything could be arranged. I did not here anything back and on the night I saw my request on their booking sheet crossed out. They didn’t address it at all and were a bit standoff-ish when asked about it.
Love Barbuto. We come here for a special occasion or a treat sometime. Their garlic bread is sensational! Love their combos especially the ribs but always more then I can actually finish in one siting. My favourite has to be their salmon though. There is a Smoky flavour blended through the fish and which makes the skin tastes beyond exuberant. It’s absolutely delicious! The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, even though it’s often packed out and you need to book the over all experience is always amazing so you don’t mind. Definite must try restaurant!
Had a great time at Barbuto for a work dinner. The food was simple and tasty with great flavours, and the portions were very generous.Order the ‘Giggly Rose’ cocktail – absolutely delicious, and after trying mine everyone at the table needed their own.
