Absolutely horrible. 28 dollars for a piece of dog shit. I didn’t know medium rare meant burn it to the point even a starving African wouldn’t eat it. the only redeeming factor to the food was the beer. I hope you got my message chef and should possibly reconsider your career choices. If anyone wants a better place to eat food, buy a 5 dollar steak from Woolworths and get your infant child to cook it, probably end up nicer.
What a sub par experience. The food was so poor, I took mine back and there was a queue at the bistro of people taking their meals back to complain! I ordered lamb salad. The lamb fillet was grilled into tough inedibility, no feta (which was listed on the menu as a main ingredient) and the salad was the blandest, most disappointing thing ever. They took my dish back, I waited 20 mins then they returned the same dish but now smothered in about a kilo of fairly gross feta. Smarten up guys. You need to go back to basics.
Over priced rubbish
The pub is like sitting inside a woolworths, no atmosphere at all
Everytime we go to the sands to eat we regret it! The food is terrible! It used to be nice about a year ago but now its mot worth wasting your money on, it’s like the chef just couldnt be bothered! Id rather eat macdonalds.
The barramundi special was yum, as was the salmon risotto, albeit a bit on the oily side. Overall, a very acceptable dining experience!
I can’t believe I ate steak here twice22 Dec, 2011The steak here is so expensive for what you get, it’s criminal. They charge $32 for an eye fillet which, when ordered medium rare, comes out well done at least twice over. I would have gone for the $28 version if I didn’t already know it was the equivalent of a $10 steak at every other pub in Australia. As a side note, my tiny overbooked steak came with vegetables. They were lifeless, overcooked and tasteless too.08 May, 2011Would you pay $30 for a steak as tough as the bottom of your shoe? I won’t again Another northern beaches beer barn with bad food
