I popped in to Narrabeen Sands for lunch with a good friend the other day after 10kms of walking around Narrabeen Lakes. My god the place has changed since my Garage Nights getting smashed in the 90s haha. It was Good Friday for lunch and I was doing my one day of Catholicism for the year and not eating red meat. I downed the Fish and Chips, my friend, total heathen, smashed the Pulled Pork Burger and the two kids had some great selections off the kid’s menu.The venue was fine, quite dark on the inside these days, sadly not fully utilising that beach brightness from all around. The food was impressive, enjoyed the fish and chips, Brooke loved the burger and the kids gave two thumbs up.There is one thing I have to point out about the venue – the service we experienced was next level impressive. One barman when asked how we go about getting the kid’s milkshake from the kid’s combo meal said he would sort it and brought it outside to where we were dining. When the mains were ready and our buzzer went off I went in to collect. As there was four plates, I took two out and turned back to get the other two and saw him opening the door with the other plates for us. He then dropped them off and thanked ME. It was the same guy – it was small steps and simple but honestly it is rare you have someone going beyond the required. Honestly, we were sitting right near her and she was just talking to her co worker rather than asking the patrons if they would like anything before closing off.
