Way too expensive. I paid $21 for an eggs benedict and the hollandaise was straight from a jar. What a joke. The coffee is ok but I won’t be back for food.
The coffee if perfect, blew my mind. Staff are lovely. I’ve been visiting Maisys for 5 years, open 24hr has saved me from late night at the office dinner Macca’s option.
Excellent food, and all in our group of six agreed with this evaluation for their own breakfast & lunch dishes. Milkshake, which I chose instead of coffee on this hot day, was merely average which prevents a ‘5’ score from being put down. I’ll come back to try the coffee.
We were looking for a decent cup of coffee at an unorthodox time and found it. This joint is open 24hrs. Service was lovely and the food was delicious. Will definitely be wandering back here.
Located on Military Rd in Neutral bay, it’s hard to miss, as it’s a cafe that’s always opened – I’m not exaggerating, it’s opened 24 hours. If you’re from the northern beaches/ lower north shore – you will tend to find most cafes will close up shop around 9.30-10pm. If I’m out at dinner, and the restaurant I’m at, doesn’t have a great dessert menu or I’m just not keen on what the menu has to offer BUT! I’m not ready to go home… AND I am not prepared to cross the bridge for dessert… Maisy’s usually my go to. With a diverse menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner meals, and baked goodies it caters to all people all hours of the day. So next time you are driving past, and you notice police cars parked out front, it’s not because there is a brawl inside, it’s because it’s one of the very few coffee/cafe stores that is opened 24 HOURS, and their coffee is decent.Side note – I once recommended an uber driver to get coffee/bite to eat here as he would always just drive through to caltex or maccas as there would be nothing else opened convenient for his hours of work.
Where can one go for a late dinner after 10:30pm north of the Harbour on a weeknight? Have known about the place for a long time, so we came here for the first time out of necessity. The place was small, but packed with people even at this time, we got the only free table upstairs. It was a warm night, and it was a bit stuffy where we were seated. The food were pleasantly surprising, and quite nice for a 24hrs cafe. I had the haloumi & quinoa salad, which was not too heavy, nicely balanced, perfect for late dinner. My friend had the meatballs, which was generously covered with cheese. Great option for anyone looking for a late night tucker.
Pancakes were burnt. It looked burnt (it was dark) and tasted burnt (it was bitter) When I told the waiter, he flailed his arms and told me that is how the ‘spice’ tasted. Pancakes are supposed to be spicy???
