Recommended by my school friend, his mum’s service was very lovely. Food was also amazing, tasted like true Malaysian food I’ve had in KL. Intense spices and flavours. Hainanese Chicken Rice and Nasi Lemak were amazing.

Good airconditioning and friendly service today when I stopped for a takeaway; my first meal here. The Seafood Char Kway Teow was extremely salty. The flat rice noodle was all broken up. The seafood – processed fish cake, hard dried squid and three prawns did not taste fresh. It was poor value especially compared with Sam Thai in the same arcade.I wanted to give it 2-1/2 but decided to be generous as the place is new and I want to encourage them to try harder. This meal, however must go into the garbage bin.

Wanted Nasi Goreng for dinner and found Makan by Chef Tan. I walked in an got a seat immediately and good service by the family run diner. Water came out straight away so I made the opportunity to order. Nasi Goring and Satay chicken. The satay came out first and was really nice, near on close my eyes and think I am in Chong peng in Singapore. The Nasi Goreng was good but not the best I have had, and I understand, Nasi Goreng can be a hit and miss and also be made whatever is available regarding veggies and meat etc I ate it all so it must have been ok! I am interested in trying the rest of the menu so I will go back. The ambience reminded me of typical south east asian diners but the people in the restaurant were very loud. Get a good crowd in there and it would be deafening.
