Good views, good food. The special fish of the day was the seared Atlantic salmon. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. However, the salad was a bit too acidic for my liking.
Tasty and delicious food with reasonable prices and fairy good service. We live locally so always take interstate visitors here. Very relaxing for a lunch or afternoon tea. Worth a visit but I wouldn’t travel far, it’s not that amazing. But a very cute local cafe and the water views and location make it very cute.
The food is quite decent but the customer service is horrible. I was waiting in line to get a table and the staff was inadequate because she told me she would just clear up the table and then she decides to give the table to the group of people who came in after us. Talk about rude! If you can’t remember who came in first for a table maybe you should start a ticket system.
This has to be one of my favorite cafes in Sydney. It’s small, bustling and bright. Perched next to the ferry wharf with a balcony (with tables) having a great outlook over Hayes St beach and Neutral Bay. The food is homely and wholesome with organic and responsibly sourced produce being the overarching theme of the place. I highly recommend the smoked salmon salad – possibly the best I’ve had. It’s huge and very flavorsome. My partner raved about the seafood risotto (a special I believe). They also have a big range of cakes and other sweet treats which looked awesome. Only downside, barista occasionally burns the coffee!
Came here for my birthday brunch and the place was packed! Luckily we managed to get a table without having to wait! The cafe has a lovely water view and I could see why this place is so busy. So Sydney! To go to a cafe for the view and not so much the food. Now, on to the food…The food was quite pricey and the taste… Well, it was rather average and nothing to write home about. The food took ages to come out and I guess it is because they are busy. But if you want your customer to wait, at least serve some amazing food! I order the falafel roll and I swear, there was salad and I honestly think, the kitchen forgot about the falafel itself! What a shame! If I wanted a salad roll, I would have requested for it. Oh well, it was worth a try but I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this cafe, not even for the amazing view. I can’t justify the price versus the quality of the food. I’m happy to pay for a meal if it makes my taste bud dance. Thelma and Louise failed to do that… Such a shame!
Gorgeous view of harbour from small outdoor deck. My favourite place to visit when down in Neutral Bay. Lots of varieties of coffee/tea/herbal tea. You’re sure to find a meal you like too. Try their signature Risotto. It’s always busy.
Considering the beautiful location, I’m surprised (and delighted) Thelma & Louise remains an unpretentious, good value, friendly local cafe, with wonderful food, generous portions and good coffee
