I’m sure it’s nice for an evening drink, but extremely overpriced for breakfast $5 (soy) hot chocolate and the long black was undrinkable. I’ll stick to bourke st bakery next door for my coffee but come here for a gin
Real mixed bag here. Cafe itself is a bit of a train wreck with stuff everywhere; old decor no longer worthy of hanging ,back of house bits and pieces and general tat. Makes for an unattractive feel and certainly doesn’t give a sense of ‘clean’. Tables were slowed to be cleared once people left also which doesn’t help. That said, staff were friendly, food was good and the prices are very reasonable. Nothing too complicated for me-granola and toast, with the granola tasty and sweetened up with seasonal fruits. The boy had the breakfast wrap which passed muster also. No table service so it’s order at the counter. There was plenty of staff on deck so I think this is a miss. I did my own on selling and went to the counter to order my second coffee. The other food/plates coming out from the kitchen looked good I must say. Be nice to see the environs match.
The coffee is ok, but the food options are bizarre and limited. One of those menus where you flip from item to item trying to find something you might like. I think the place must really be better at night as a bar, as it’s not a great place for a bite.
