One of the best cafes in Newcastle. Speciality coffee, they never fail in delivering a great cup.  Food is sensational. Great laid back atmosphere, personable service.

We found the service at Moor to be very friendly and attentive and the food to be tasty but quite pricey. My chicken tajine was delicious and generously proportioned. We sat outside on a warm night, which was pleasant, even if the long, bench-style table made it a bit difficult for our group of about 10 people to interact. It would be great if they had just one or two quality beers on tap – as it is, it’s bottles only.

Had a light lunch here at Moor, ordered the falafels with the Arabian salad and an avocado sauce. The falafels were quite moist but maybe 2 out of the 5 falafels were dry and tough to swallow without smothering in the avocado sauce. The salad was refreshing and the sauce tied it all together. The menu makes sense and gives the diner a strong sense of Arabia. However the menu is home to a croque monsieur, which is confusing in relation to the Arabian themed menu. The staff were slow to collect plates and there were no forks, we only had knives at our table. At a table of 11 only one bottle of water was given to share. Despite all of this however I will return for the food and cool décor.

Love going to Moor. It’s a has a delicious menu and is a great place to share tapas with a group. I’m still daydreaming about the ground lamb! Yum!
