Tried their Krakatoa 1883 which is the Indo Fusion style Chicken burger. The Green Chilli sauce despite its innocent appearance can be very spicy for some. The bread, chicken and lettuce are fresh and quite tasty. We really enjoyed the Cassava Wheel which is crunchy and tasty. For the drink we chose Teh Botol which is one of a few beverage without soda and it brings the temperature down.

Been here a couple of times already. And took the advice of one of the reviewers by ordering from the weekly specials. Had the Bali mix rice and the java mix rice on different occasions, both were so good!

My partner and I are obsessed with this gem of a restaurant and are slowly making our way through the menu. Everything weve had has been awesome but we have recently just discovered the Nasi Ayam Djago which was on the daily specials board – its a great combination of everything. If you are not sure what to get and if this is on the specials board then get that. If youre not a fan of heat, just make sure you ask whats hot before you order because some dishes are spicy – luckily for us we love the heat. If you order the cassava wheels make sure you order a dipping sauce – we found they tasted better with a little sauce.

Indo fusion in newington area. Indonesian Food with twist of fusion. Big lunch Today Order all of their special menu such as nasi kuning, Firecracker sloppy Joe. Also their coconut Chicken burger and fried Chicken burger. The sloppy Joe is Really clever. Spicy and delicious. Cassava wheels are the good side dishes that you need to try If you visit.

The combo of the Krakatoa and fried cassava on the side is wicked.I tried the grilled chicken and the yellow rice on the next visit, also equally nice. The yellow rice is beatifully cooked.High recommended.

This is a hidden gem in homebush newington area.We ordered tropic thunder, kraktatoa 1883 and chook van java burger. The taste is absolutely amazing and massive explosion in your mouth. Crispy chicken was cooked to perfection while juicy inside, flavoursome with beautiful coconut aroma. The rujak slaw with sambal mayo or sambal ijo or sambal dabu dabu in other dishes are just AMAZING. Get the Acar (pickles) on the side to accompany the burger and you will definitely wan to come back for more !! Good location, family friendly, with large open space infront of the restaurant in the residential area.

So glad to know there’s an Indonesian restaurant in the west. Their grilled chicken is amazingly tender and nicely marinated. The turmeric coconut rice is delicious. The burger and casava chip is really good too. They have a good chilli sauce, would have liked more sauce provided. Overall a great Indonesian feed without having to go all the way to ayam goreng 99.
