Amazing coffee, friendly staff and consistently good food. This cafe suppsets local artists and stocks a superb selection of liquor. I’d highly reccomend tjeor home made soft drinks and their avo on toast. Newtowns Best!

Ordered the 212 toastie. It was delicious and hearty but it was huuuuuge! I couldn’t finish it. My main issue with this place is seating. The cafe is tiny and quite cramped. We actually had to share a table with a solo diner which was incredibly awkward for all involved. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and approachable, our server gave us helpful recommendations for menu items too which was appreciated. It was good but was it good enough for me to visit again? In all honesty, probably not…

The smashed avocado is the best in Sydney. The chilli, lemon and dukkah all go perfectly together. However, it is pretty expensive for the portion size. Coffee is good. The interior is chic (love the Australian native bouquets) but small. Go at an off-peak time, there’s a school close by so lots of mums and dads try and squeeze their giant strollers in in the morning. I used to live around the corner so have come here fairly often. The service is ambivalent. It’s meant to be table service but have been ignored and had to go up more often than not. It’s inexcusable because there is not that many tables. The staff all seem to be on the cutting edge of cool. Not very approachable. Just make patrons order at the counter – it’s better than having bad table service.

I like the 212 platter to share, sides are quite various so it’s good to have different stuff. Once, I also took a special for brunch time, it was very good but the quantity was quite poor so I was a bit disappointed.

Ordered a cappucino. They made a latte. Rather than replace it, the barista just added chocholate powder to the top, saying that was the only difference. Wrong! Even though it’s not a massive thing, it’s the principal of correcting it properly and not being lazy or not caring. The coffee was decent, but the outcome was not satisfactory.

The breakfast menu is a bit different. Hearty, a bit salty with Mediterranean touch. I tried the 212 breakfast board and the sloppy joe. Really like the grilled hallumi and the wyagu mince. But the friend who shared with me said the mince was kind of odd to be eaten during breakfast. So it is really something depend on person I guess.I love the coffee here and very interesting internal decoration
