wasnt a fan of the burger (jr daddy) as it was a bit bland and dry. I was expecting the simple burger to have a bit more of flavour and so on. But the place had lovely and friendly service 🙂

I’ve had the beef burgers elsewhere and thought they were an attempt to improve McDonald’s – good ingredients but quite plain and not very big even with two patties. However, now that I’m near the Newtown branch, I’ve tried a couple of their other offerings and cannot recommend them at all. The ranchero chicken burger had very plain grilled chicken (not even sure if it was crumbed as stated in the description) and very little else and was tiny despite costing $15. The philly cheesesteak sub is similarly bad – ordinary steak and yucky american cheese shoved in a supermarket hot dog bun, at least it was much bigger than the chicken burger but still nowhere near $15 worth. I don’t think I’ll ever return after this but at least with the beef burgers, you can get a simple snack at a fairly reasonable price.

Burgers, hot dogs and beers. What a day! Good place for those who likes eating burgers and hotdogs with a beer. The price is not too bad. The interior looks like 80s era.

I guess this is my own fault since I ordered something I knew I wouldn’t be big on, but I just couldn’t get into the burger I tried here. Macaroni cheese in a burger just felt like cheesy overkill. Of course, I haven’t tried the other burgers so I won’t go too low a score. As for atmosphere, the 50’s style is somewhat cool but really nothing unique for Newtown
