After hearing many good things about this cafe, this was a bit of a letdown. Food was average and the burger crust was a bit too hard for my liking. Other people in my group seemed to enjoy their dishes. Coffee was above average.
Cafe ism is a cafe I go to everynow and again in the quieter side of Newtown or Macdonaldtown ..Today I was pretty hungry and ordered a t/away cappuccino and a BLT t/away too ..The coffee was good but the BLT when I walked to the station had no bacon in it! The server was a friendly British lady so a point for that Just sad had no bacon in it 🙁
When the owner is gruff, abrupt and bordering on rude to you then greets the person behind you with a smile and ‘how are you going, mate?’ this is a place you realize you’re not welcome. Unless you’re already a regular, this is a place to avoid, it seems.
Casual little cafe in quite neighbourhoodWe came here for lazy brunch and we did have a very pleasant experience.The caf is very casual, we ordered at the bar and sat down on one of the tables outside. The shade and the breeze made the hot Sydney day so relaxing and cool.Coffee and food were nice and the portion was very generous.Would love to come back here some time.
I’m never disappointed at ism the food is always fresh and delicious and the coffee strong and smooth. French toast is a must served with crispy bacon yum. Highly recommended
Nice coffee. The coffee hit the spot for me. My friend had pesto scrambled eggs which he liked although was a bit disappointed at the tiny portion of roast tomato on his plate (half a small tomato) – a bit tight arse. Otherwise, a pleasant experience overall.
