If your stomach is empty and your wallet is emptier $7 for 15 dumplings would sound like a lifesaver. However I hesitated whether I should call them dumplings though, as the texture of the dumpling skin is dry and puffy, like a failed experiment with self-rising flour. The filling (lamb and cabbage) is very oily and there is no moisture in the whole thing. For steam dumplings, one would definitely expect dense skin and a bit of juice inside – should I give them the star for attempting to make a dumpling/bun hybrid?Good value in terms of calories perhaps, not in terms of flavor unfortunately.
This place is good for a quick, cheap meal.Unfortunately the dumplings weren’t cooked that great.Price is pretty cheap – chicken and corn was $6.90 for 15 and lamb and chiveschives – $6.90 for 15.Can’t complain if you’re looking to get full as the servings are pretty generous.
