Arrived at restaurant a half hr before our reservation. We were welcomed and Happily accommodated with earlier seating. We sat upstairs. It is a hidden balcony area with fake grass and bar seating. Design and decor wise it doesn’t come close to the decor on the bottom level. the fake grass and barstools one of which is covered in bird poop! The bird chirping noise whilst wonderfully perky was fresh and different to other restaurants but way too loud. I asked them to turn it down and they did which we were very appreciative of but not by enough. Those birds can sing! We ordered cokes which came in the can, without a glass and warm. I went to ask for 2 glasses with some ice and they happily did that for us but took a while. The food we saw eaten by others(arancini, calamari, marinara pasta)looked very yummy. Our garlic prawns were very tasty but the garlic bread it came with was like flattened sourdough. I got the beef cheek with seasonable veggies(broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and mash) the cheek was quite large but came with lots of sauce. The food was not bad just too big for me to finish. My partner also struggled with his fusion special size wise but he enjoyed it(only get this special if you like zucchini as there is lots of it!)Not too much emphasis on how the food is displayed but at the end of the day the food taste and size is what really matters. Not sure if I’d return for the same meal but if I was to come back it would only be if I could get a seat on the bottom level and I think I’d stick to pasta because all the pastas looked amazing! The table on the ground floor had ordered spot on by the looks of it! Tiramisu was amazing! Big enough for two. Fresh strawberries on top. Highlight of the meal. Whilst servers were lovely it was a smidge slow but that’s probably because we weren’t in great view and there was only two waiters on. Highlight: tiramisu! lowlight: decor where we were seated. And loud bird noises
