It’s a hot dog with the classic boiled sausage (decent quality meat though), so it’s never going to be that good, but they slather on the toppings and use a good hearty bun, much better than the supermarket ones, so it’s not bad for the price. Same for the toasted reuben sandwich, tasty but thin slices of pastrami, but a decent price. Although if you’re ordering delivery, look around, because the prices are different on different apps.
Stopped by here a few times for a coffee and I will admit to catch some sports on their big screen TV. The staff are friendly and make good drinks. I love the ambience here and as a hat and sport enthusiast myself it has good vibes. Makes me feel a bit like back home. I probably wouldn’t actually buy hats from here as they are a bit expensive but they add to the look of the cafe.
I have mixed feelings about this place m, fir starters I appreciate them trying to bring American style hot dogs to our market. But if you’re going to do something and claim to be authentic then you have to deliver on all aspects Selling pork based hot dogs is not a legitimate claim to being authentic as they ALL hot dogs in America are Beef based unless requested otherwise. When I confronted him about this fact he simply said Australians don’t know better as they’re used to Pork based. That may be true but it doesn’t make it right !Americans don’t try and tell us the correct ingredients for meat pies so we shouldn’t b altering their Dogs !They weren’t bad at all and in fact were decent but I’m still miffed with his attitude
