This place has been around for a long time & after getting lots of rave reviews from locals & regulars, I had to check it out myself. Now I understand why. Cosy, warm, inviting, you feel like eating at a friends place. The food is classic dishes that are consistently good, cooked well & tasty, from fresh tuna tartare & seared scallops to a hearty beef or Indian spuce rubbed chicken. Those thick crunchy handcut chips are very addictive. Dessert platter was good & consists of the classics such as chocolate mousse & creme brulee. You walk out very full & happy, saying goodbye to an old friend.
Linda’s has always been a winner and never disappointed in delivery of food or service. We have been frequenting this place since they were at the back of Newtown Hotel and I’m glad to see they are still going strong. Linda’s food is delish, serves are filling and price is good value. Will keep returning.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It’s charming cosy and small. You have to make a reservation as it quite packed. The artichoke arancini is a must with truffle mayo. The pork belly I order was great with crunchy crackling. A must try in Newtown.
Linda’s has been one of our favorites for sometime. It has been a cornerstone of the newtown dinning scene for ages and they really reflect the culture in this part of Sydney. The restaurant is nice however the quality of food and gluten free options are excellent. Being BYO is also great especially if you have a well stocked wine fridge at home. We have had quite a few dinners here plus recommended then to Peterson house who held a members dinner here a while back. They put on a great show and closed the restaurant for 2 nights to cater for the wine dinners. Well worth a look.
The restaurant is always worth the visit. The food is always superbly presented and delicious. There is always a good variety to choose from. Highly recommended.
Popped in here for a quick charcuterie plate, goats cheese souffl and salad lastnight before a show in the Enmore. The food and service were amazing! Will definitely be back for more!
Excellent. Beautiful atmosphere! Amazing food! Linda does a really good job behind in the kitchen! And her husband as well, in the front! The waitress was just lovely! We really enjoyed the dinner! And all the dishes were so differents! Thanks a lot for the perfect night out!
