A decent place to chill and grab a bite at. I remember this place being much better in terms of food quality years ago, but its still ok for a cheap acai bowl. With so much of a selection in Newtown, I’d recommend other places though
Really disappointing. We used to come here a lot for breakfast 2 years ago and it used to be so busy. It was so quiet on our recent visit and now we know why…….. not only slow service and cold over cooked food, but the staff really didnt seem to care. Even when I had to send food back (it was really bad) and then never got it back nobody cared. When I mentioned it at the counter, I was just told theres a survey you can fill in if you like…..really? No apology, no question about what was wrong. Used to be one of my favourites which it what makes it ever more of a shame. Never mind theres plenty of other places for breakfast in Newtown thankfully !
Woeful. The food is not very good, it tasted like it was frozen food reheated. Had the quesadilla, and there was no flavour. It was all cheese and over cooked chicken. The service was poor too. Waited for a table to be cleared, ordered and got the wrong items. With so many good eating options in Newtown, its best to avoid this place.
Most cafes in Newtown are packed on Friday and the weekends; though it was a bit of a wait. I’m glad I chilled at Milk Bar. I definitely loved the dim & intimate setting, it’s also spacious. Service was polite & prompt. Their coffees and frosted chai frappes are made to perfection and definitely addictive.
