Solid 3.75/5. We were in the area n happened to walk past lillys. Wait a minute, isnt this the lillys?! How could we pass up the chance even though we were already stuffed w brekky.. takeaways solved our quandary, too easy. Snapper pie chicken pie beef pie all had 2 things in common. No scrooge in the fillings n beaut beaut flaky sweet smelling pastry w that lingering buttery aftertaste w each bite. The sour cherry pie didnt fare so well inasmuch as my personal taste is concerned. Too sour for me. Lovely to see bossman positively beaming when serving customers.
I’m a big fan of Miss Lilly’s Kitchen ever since discovering them at a Finder’s Keepers event. Stuart the owner is a lovely man who takes pride in his work. His newish cafe is closer to the St Peters end, with a simple layout with a communal table. My favourites are the sour cherry pie, lemon meringue pie, the beef pie and the carrot cake. But really, you can’t go wrong with the goods here.
