We had a great experience as a group of 8 for my dad’s birthday. The BBQ octopus, whole snapper, barramundi curry and red duck curry were the stand out dishes for the night. Nice atmosphere and decor.Great service from the staff. Attentive with ordering, photos, organising the cake and timely service of food.
Just as good as I remember from years ago. All the classic meals are a cut above here. The duck was perfect and the red curry sauce very flavoursome – they generally go for more delicate flavours that seem lighter than other Thai restaurants but the flavour cones in and lingers for long afterwards. Same with the papaya salad, which started off mild but seemed much spicier by the end. Only problem here is that the prices are higher than almost any other Thai but the food is good enough to justify it.

Thai Pothong offers traditional Thai food with a vibrant ambience. The food was great and I really thought I had taken photos of them… but hows this mango & sticky rice pudding!
The bbq pork is really yum! And the Thai ice cream with coconut slice is nice! Pity that the oyster mushroom was sold out… will try next time!
Really well set up and spacious restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They have a good selection of dishes and banquets on their menu and have the capacity to host birthday dinners. The food came out relatively fast, was fresh and delicious. The dishes were relatively well priced too. Definitely a good experience overall.
Went here for my friend’s birthday. They had variety of dishes that tasted very good. Would come back to casually dine and see their other dishes.
