Awesome pub keeping local music alive with good priced drinks and friendly bar staff. The sound (of the live music) is always great here, done professionally and competently. heaps of different areas for eating, listening, smoking, playing pool or pokies.

Place is dope. Doesnt take itself too seriously. Pool table, bistro with good burgers, local craft beer and a surprisingly good whisky range.Perfect place to get into a round with the squad.

it’s the Townie. it’s been there forever. the drinks aren’t fashionably expensive. the food is great and if there is a bar keeping live music going in sydney, it’s this one. pay their musicians well and promptly. staff are lovable. a great place to build many fuzzy memories of regret

Used to be a fun place. Opinion changed by a rude bartender wearing his hat backwards and a padlock around his neck. It’s not hard to just be friendly. We can all see you’re emo, just because you hate the world doesn’t mean we do.

The pub, why was the garlic bead developed before the main didn’t ask for it, the food get a meal after really poor value, eat before you go

  • Duke Silver

Great pub menu with plenty of choices., and serving sizes are more than enough. Best chicken parm I have had in Newtown, possibly Sydney. Friendly staff and a varied range of local and imported beer.
