It’s hard to develop any sort of motivation to do that extra walking to Vegan’s Choice, when you have Gelato Blue as vegan dessert heaven staring at you so close to the station! BUT, you never know until you try, PLUS got to get some exercise in by walking that extra 10 minutes, so we made it here.It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside there are SO MANY vegan goodies. Desserts, snacks, frozen food, everything you can think of. There’s only a few seats at the small, long table, so we just got some ice cream. Taro and black sesame. Because how could you not. Taro was REALLY great, like you need to try!! Black sesame was just a little more average, but still not bad. And I have had far worse dairy ice cream before. Also bought some ginger lollies which I found kinda gross, but the bf loves them They also had a wide range of cakes and sweets to choose from, and they looked AMAZING, but we were just way too full from dinner to even attempt any. Let’s just say my heart is still with Gelato Blue, but the exercise + Vegan’s Choice is worth it.
The best!!!!!! they have an Oreo cake that will change your world, vegan or not. Awesome grocery section as well, all the essentials plus some gems that no other stores have.
Vegan macaroons were tiny and hard as rocks for $3. Ice cream scoop was expensive, miniscule and powdery. Choc brownie was small and dry for $4.50. All told spent $16 for a tiny amount and none of it was good. Proof you can make vegan treats that look tasty yet taste terrible. On top of that the lady who makes them is the absolute rudest and treats you like you’re in the way. Just buy a tub of soy ice cream at the supermarket instead- it’s cheaper and at least it tastes ok.
Stopped in here as the name caught my eye and i’m glad I did. They have such an array of amazing vegan desserts. I got a 2 scoops of vegan ice cream, Taro and Coconut flavours. They were really really lovely, the desiccated coconut bits throughout the coconut ice cream added a lovely texture and the taro flavour was honestly beautiful. You have to try the Taro if you go it’s amazing. Vegans and non vegans alike will enjoy the array of desserts here! The service wasn’t the best and it was very cramped and not the best looking inside but don’t let that deter you.I will be back!!
I got the green tea ice cream and it was pricey but good 🙂 It was creamy and was still quite sweet although the green tea flavour was lacking. The staff was friendly as well.
Wow wow wow. Who would’ve thought you could have vegan macaroons? Furthermore, their vegan cakes are a must try too. Apart from those vegan bad boys they really do justice to the vegan community and others with their indulgent vegan tofu ice cream.
Tofu Ice cream? I was a bit nervous getting this, especially considering they don’t allow you to taste before you buy. After the struggle of deciding which one to get I went with a vanilla and rose ice cream (mainly because it looked pretty good with rose petals and all). This…
