Went there to try some vegan treats as my hubby is lactose intolerant. If you can get past the tiny store and the look and feel of the place it is actually worth the try. I had the caramel cheescake and it was delicious, hubby had the peanut butter brownie and it wasn’t bad, but mine was way better
Had the Caramel Latte and Maple Walnut icecream – also tried Black Sesame, Taro and the Rosewater ice cream. They don’t have sampling for the icecream but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! The scoops also didn’t actually hold together well, but it was still very delicious and surprisingly creamy. If you want something which tastes a touch healthier, come to Vegan’s Choice; if you want lots of sweetness and full flavour – Gelato Blue is the place to go!
If you’re vegan or not vegan you should seriously check this place out. It’s amazing, there are so many vegan desserts and, particularly, cakes which you can buy straightaway (usually available depending on flavour and size) which is super handy if you need a celebration cake asap. The cookies and cream cake I bought was super moist and the cream tasted light and fluffy, you wouldn’t be able to tell that it’s vegan. The decorative elements on the cake were perfect and you can see that great detail was put into preparing the cake. The staff here are very accommodating and were able to put the cake on hold over the phone which was a complete lifesaver. Also, there are groceries such as frozen vegan goodies, tofu icecream, vegan ‘dairy’ products, etc too.
