Delicious fresh seafood cooked to perfection and amazing cocktails to follow. Perfect location for a weekend lunch or dinner with Bondi Beach in the background! Definitely on the pricier side but still a great spot, perfect for date nights!
A lunch date with my wife. We were seated on a table along the wall with sweet views to the ocean. Service was polite and we ordered fish curry and a grilled fillet of mulloway in teriyaki sauce we also had a side of hot chips. After a glass of riesling our food was laid out. Looked good and tasted fine. Fish curry was yum, mulloway was a nice dish and well executed. The hot chips are good. Service was fine, decor was comfortable and we felt at ease while here. Sharing the fruit meringue for dessert was a good way to finish.
First time to Bondi and the scenery definitely does not disappoint! We thought we would start down the north end first and work our way back. We were starving at this point and stumbled across North Bondi Fish n figured why not give it a go. We got a table pretty quickly and ordered. We got the fish tacos, soft shell crab slider, chips and tuna tataki. Everything was delicious and so fresh! It totally hit the spot! Only thing was it was a tad pricey for what we ordered. Place was great though. Staff were friendly and food was great! couchfoodies.com
I wanted to take some friends from Texas, USA to a restaurant overlooking Bondi Beach that was upscale yet laid-back (not too formal) and reasonably priced; North Bondi Fish (NBF) seemed like the type place I was looking for. I checked out many images for NBF on Google images and it looked great and the menu seemed OK as did the drinks list. I was slightly put-off by some recent negative reviews I read but I went ahead a made a reservation for lunch. After a pre-lunch drink at Iceberg’s, I walked with my friends along the beach promenade to NBF and I’m very happy to say that my friends and I weren’t disappointed; the view of the beach from the restaurant was beautiful, the service was perfect, the food was delicious and eight shareplates of dishes made with scallops, tuna, kingfish (ceviche) and sydney rock oysters between the 3 of us with a few beers and a bottle of good wine cost us about $300; the whole experience was worth every dollar we spent. My friends came away raving about it and I’m very grateful for the great impression NBF left on both myself and my overseas guests.
Mixed reviews, it seems, but I enjoyed everything but the price. Tasty oysters, soft shell crab slider and prawns, all came out great but anything under $40 will be snack size. The interior is very nice and we got the long table looking directly out to the beach.
Lovely view – very expensive, mediocre food. Grab the view for free 20 feet away and go to Bondi’s best seafood for a real taste of the sea.
Was always skeptical about this place but it seriously delivered the goods. Had the banquet with the snapper, steak, muscles and sashimi. All were ridicActually couldn’t fault anything… surprised myself
