Sunday, 8 Aug 2016, went with a friend today and found the service appalling, the barrista was rude, no one said good morning or thanked you for your custom, the waitress was pleasant at least, I paid at the counter for a coffee and tea, after about 40 minutes the tea arrived and when I inquired as to the coffee, I was told please pay and order at the counter, I said I have. Mysteriously, the coffee appeared in 3 minutes. However it was grainy and the the milk was burnt. They were not busy, perhaps because we were gay they didn’t like us? Never again.
Coffee here is below average and food is very basic and highly priced. Better off packing apicnic. The view and ambience is fantastic and service was nice, but I wouldn’t come back in a hurry.
Good coffee and nice view. Lake Parramatta Cafe, as you would have guessed, is situated in the middle of the Lake Parramatta Reserve. Offers usual menu items you’d expect from a cafe. Be patient if you dine here as service can be a bit slow. Looks like adding another wait staff will speed up serving time. Took a while to get my coffee.
Would have rather eaten the duck poo. View was good. Food was very poor, soggy fish and chips, didnt even touch my salad the disgusting chef used his dirty hands to put it on the plates. The customer service was even more disgusting than the food, a toddler would look less confused. Very rude and would never go back or recommend. Yuck!
I rrequent lake parramatta, taking my friends there for coffee and special breakfasts and lunches.The view is so very tranquil, and the service is good and the food delicious. I recommend it. It is such a beautiful place to visit and it is a must to visit the cafe and sit and ponder the view.
Great View and good service. The view is great and so is the coffee. The food is good. The greek lamb salad is perfect. but the breakfast is average quality.
Poor service and Awful coffee. The food was ok – nice but not great. Although my friend had to send hers back so that the chef could actually finish cooking the eggs – when that eventually came back, they had removed the butter from her plate so we had to go back again and ask for that. I asked for some bacon on the side of my meal, but they actually refused to serve it on a separate plate, something I have never encountered before. The staff didn’t seem to care about customer service, to the point where the waitress actually gave me a dirty look when I indicated that she could put my coffee on the table rather than handing it to me. By the time the coffee finally came out, I had finished my meal – and it was not worth the wait, the coffee was awful, tastes burnt and butter. I won’t be coming back.
