Just moved to North Rocks and was looking for a new breakfast place. Had lunch and breakfast here and was disappointed both times. Lunch: salt and pepper squid at $17.90. What I got was 5 pieces of over cooked squid and a rotten salad (like the mushy bits at the bottom of the bag). Total rip off for size and quality. Did I send it back? No because I was starving and didn’t want to make a scene in front of my friend. I thought I’d try again for breakfast and got avocado on toast for $13.90. What I received was ONE slice of thin bread with a smear of avocado…for almost $14!! Complete waste of money this place. Like a previous reviewer, I was not asked either times how my meal was, I think the waitresses must already know what people will say so they just don’t ask.
The staff are very young and friendly, however, they are inexperienced in service, so some of the finer touches are missing, for example, if staff are trained to ask how your meal was, they should also be trained to take note of the feedback and do something with it, rather than look embraced and race away when you comment that you are not really happy.Service wasreally quick which was great. Coffee and cold drinks were ok.The food, though is quite disappointing and very expensive for the size of the meal.We ordered 2 breakfasts, one veggie one standard, both were really small serves, plus 2 drinks and 1 coffee and paid $55.Happy to pay that if the meal is filling…Profit margins gone mad! We’ll be looking for a new breakfast local for Sunday morning brunch.
Atmosphere is dull as the shopping centres main exit divides the cafe. Service is good, young helpful staff but food and coffee are of average quality and pricey too. Good place in a jam but I’d definitely go elsewhere given the choice.
i ordered. pasta and garlic bread both were cold as poor services never again the staff have no idea how run it i told them they said we have chef all fresh i beg to diff
My family had dinner here a few Friday’s ago and we were very happy with our experience. Aside from the fact that there was about 2 vegetarian options on the menu, it was in general a well executed menu. I had the bruschetta off the Specials board. My family had a burgers and salads. I also had a tiramisu for desert, which was so good! All in all, a very nice little restaurant/cafe.
Was out West for lunch with wifey the other day and stopped in to @therockspantry for a bite to eat. I got the classic beef burger and modified it Triple beef and cheese on a toasted milk bun with beetroot, lettuce, tomato and homemade smokey aioli with a side of thick cut chips The soft, pillowy toasted bun was a big winner and I’d already noticed from their breakfast that they cook bacon well. The beef could improve, but I don’t imagine it’s the biggest draw card judging by the yummy cakes in the front mirror
Breakky ninja!!Came here with a big appetite, rolled away with full bellies and left over food. The pancake was delicious, chocolate sauce and maple syrup on the side made this dish epic. Be warned it can be filling! We also got the Hungry rocks breakky which was HUGE! We underestimated the size so we added chorizo for good measure. The eggs were cooked perfectly, chorizo had a kick to it and tasted great, i loved the spicy sausage and the turkish toasted bread was good…..Our server was polite and friendly, she was extremely helpful because we were picky but such a lovely girl.If you are in the area, you should visit…Until next time …. Keep eating!!!!! asianfoodninja.com
