Another ground floor of an office building cafe. The food menu for lunch is not extensive, just a few options each of sandwich, melts, burger & salads. Nothing particularly inspiring. I got the Salt & Pepper Calamari salad to go. The portion size was a little disappointing for $13.90. Tasted ok, nothing special, probably won’t be getting it again.
I’ve been here for a coffee and a meeting, and now for lunch and a meeting. My large latt was perfectly acceptable, with quite good latte art. My Bacon Lettuce Avocado Tomato (BLAT) salad was nicely presented and proportioned. It wasn’t huge but just enough and I thought all the components added up to a tasty salad. I mean: bacon. It’s hard to go wrong with crispy bacon. andyquan.com
This is the cafe under the Cisco building. It was run pretty well by the last two owners, good coffee, good food, friendly greeting (customer service = important) and online ordering (yes the internet exists). Since it has become KuTamper the service standards have dropped and the prices have gone up. Noting personal, but disappointing as it is across the road from my office and I used to buy brekky there 3 times a week. 70 cents extra for turkish bread on a B+E roll, thats just greedy? The staff certainly don’t seem very jovial to be there, and combined with the prices and service it’s going to be hard to come back. The old cafe owners also had the online ordering, I could order form the train and it is ready when I arrived (yqme), that has also been turned off and when I asked the staff just shrugged. Anyway, there a lots of cafe’s on North Sydney, need to walk a bit further in the mornings that’s all.
